These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the English Enjoyed website, mobile applications, and related services (together, the “Services”). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be the age of majority in your country/region (or have verifiable parental/guardian consent) to use the Services.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login credentials secure.
You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
3. The Services
English Enjoyed provides short, story-driven video episodes, transcripts, programme notes, and learning interactions (including the Interval Challenge and occasional Encore prompts). Content may be accessed via web and our mobile apps.
We may change, suspend, or remove parts of the Services (e.g., update episode schedules, improve features, carry out maintenance) to keep the experience reliable and secure. Where changes are material and foreseeable, we will give reasonable notice.
4. Subscriptions, trials & billing
4.1 Plans
We offer recurring monthly and annual subscriptions (e.g., “Member’s Pass”, “Season Ticket”), and may occasionally offer limited one-off products (e.g., a single season pass). The features, price, and duration of each plan are shown at checkout.
4.2 Free trials
If a free trial is offered, your subscription will convert to a paid, auto-renewing plan at the end of the trial unless you cancel before the trial ends. One trial per person unless stated otherwise.
4.3 Auto-renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time (see Section 7). Access continues until the end of the current paid period.
4.4 Pricing, taxes & fees
Prices are shown inclusive of applicable VAT/GST where required. If you purchase in the mobile apps, Apple App Store or Google Play pricing and taxes apply. For web purchases, payments are processed by our payment partners (e.g., Thinkific Payments/Stripe). Currency conversions, bank fees, or app-store commissions are outside our control.
4.5 Price changes
We may change prices from time to time. We will give existing subscribers reasonable notice of any change. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel before the change takes effect.
5. In-app purchases vs web purchases
App Store / Google Play: If you subscribe through Apple or Google, billing, refunds, and cancellations are handled by that store under its terms. We cannot access your card details or amend those charges.
Web checkout: If you subscribe on our website, billing is handled by our payment processor. For refunds, see Section 8.
6. Licence & acceptable use
6.1 Your licence
Subject to these Terms and your timely payment, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Services for your own non-commercial learning and entertainment.
6.2 Restrictions
You must not:
share, sell, resell, rent, transfer, or sublicense your access;
copy, record, rebroadcast, or distribute our videos, transcripts, programme notes, or any content;
bypass or tamper with digital rights management (DRM) or security features;
use the Services for any unlawful purpose, to infringe intellectual property rights, or to harass, abuse, or violate the privacy of others;
attempt to reverse engineer or otherwise interfere with the Services.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for breach (see Section 13).
7. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time:
App Store / Google Play: cancel via your Apple/Google subscription settings.
Web: cancel from your account billing page or by contacting [email protected].
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period; you will retain access until then. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
8. Refunds
App Store / Google Play purchases: Refunds are managed by Apple/Google under their policies; please request a refund via the relevant store.
Web purchases: We generally do not provide refunds for partial periods. However, we honour any statutory rights you may have and will consider requests in good faith where you have not received what was promised. If a satisfaction guarantee is explicitly offered (e.g., “14-day promise”), the terms shown at purchase apply.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
9. Intellectual property
All content within the Services—including videos, scripts, transcripts, programme notes, questions, artwork, branding, and software—is the intellectual property of English Enjoyed or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trade mark, and other laws. Except for the limited licence in Section 6.1, no rights are granted.
If you submit feedback or suggestions, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use that feedback for any purpose without obligation to you.
10. User content & conduct
If we allow comments, submissions, or other user-generated content:
you remain responsible for what you post and must ensure you have the necessary rights;
you grant English Enjoyed a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and use that content to operate and promote the Services;
we may remove content that breaches these Terms or the law.
11. Third-party services
The Services may integrate with or link to third-party services (e.g., payment processors, analytics, app stores, embedded tools). We are not responsible for third-party terms or practices. Please review their policies before use.
12. Availability & support
We aim to keep the Services available and delightful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Planned maintenance and internet or app-store outages may occur. We provide support by email at [email protected].
13. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if:
(a) you breach these Terms; (b) we are required to do so by law or a third-party platform; or (c) there is suspected fraud or misuse.
On termination, your licence ends and you must stop using the Services. Sections which by their nature should survive (e.g., Intellectual property, Disclaimers, Liability, Governing law) shall survive.
14. Disclaimers
The Services provide educational and entertainment content for general information only. We do not provide legal, professional, or exam-specific advice. Outcomes vary by individual effort and context. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”.
15. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be limited.
Subject to the foregoing, we shall not be liable for: (i) loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or data; (ii) indirect or consequential loss; and our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Services in any 12-month period shall not exceed the amounts paid by you to us for the Services in that period.
Some countries do not allow certain exclusions or limitations; in such cases, those provisions apply only to the extent permitted by law.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless English Enjoyed and its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, unlawful conduct, or infringement of third-party rights in connection with your use of the Services.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows when changes were made. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (e.g., in-app notice or email). Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
18. App-store terms
When you download our mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you also agree to Apple or Google’s standard terms. Apple/Google are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them in relation to your use of the app.
19. Communications
We may send you service and transactional messages (e.g., purchase confirmations, policy updates, premiere reminders). You may opt out of marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link. Push notifications can be controlled in your device settings.
20. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms (and any non-contractual obligations arising out of them) are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident outside the UK, you may benefit from mandatory local consumer protections.
